Microsurgery is a universal method that cannot be learned overnight, but you can gradually acquire and improve skills, moving from the simple to the complex, delving into the minutest details of working with microsurgical instruments and anatomical structures. Microsurgery entails a special attitude to tissues, blood vessels, to surgical accuracy and dexterity.

Our mission is to promote microsurgery amongst doctors in order to improve the quality of surgical care and the effectiveness of treatment. The project is designed to provide training in microsurgery for medical students, residents, and doctors of surgical specialties.

Microsurgery training consists of three stages:

This is a practical two-day course for everyone taking their first steps in microsurgery. Two days of theory and hands-on practice, working with optical magnification and sutures of different thicknesses 8-0, 9-0, 10-0, development of dissection skills, work with tissues, vessels and nerves, anastamoses of vessels of varying diameters, nerve suture, and analysis of the most common mistakes of young microsurgeons.

In this course, more complex microsurgical skills that require precision of movement and experience with microinstruments and suture materials are practiced. A live rat is used as one of the models, the course participants will be involved in dissecting tail arteries and forming vascular anastomoses. The theoretical aspect includes lectures on the peculiarities of microsurgery in different specialties, rules of perioperative patient management, and the distinctive features of anesthesia in microsurgical operations.

The practical 5-day course is designed for microsurgeons who plan to actively use microsurgery in their practice. Depending on the specialization of the doctor: maxillofacial surgery, oncology, plastic reconstructive surgery or hand surgery, traumatology, we develop an individual internship program that includes active participation in operations at the microsurgical stages, and covers other surgical interventions in the field of interest.
